The Ultimate Guide to Mandeliclear Chemical Peel Aftercare

Updated: Jan 22

If you've been consistently using your Active Home Care Regimen, which includes products like the Active Clearing Serum, Amandola Milk, and Cleansing Gel with Mandelic Acid, it's time to initiate the peeling process.

You can start gently by opting for a 1-Pass Mandeliclear Peel during your regular Signature Glow Facial, or you can go all out and treat yourself to the full experience with the Advanced Chemical Peel Signature Glow. ✨

However, it's important to note that this peel is intended for our loyal and dedicated clients who have committed to achieving results through a professional skincare routine at home.

Are you thinking about trying a Mandeliclear Peel, or have you recently had one? This deeper peel system is specifically formulated to address pigmentation problems associated with skin of color. It's an excellent solution for lightening post-inflammatory pigmentation from acne, melasma, photodamaged skin, and even mild acne scarring. Moreover, it's suitable for Fitzpatrick I-V skin types.

Reasons to Opt for Mandeliclear Peel

The Mandeliclear Peel is packed with active ingredients like 9% Mandelic Acid, 7% Lactic Acid, 7% Salicylic Acid, and 7% Resorcinol. These ingredients work synergistically to stimulate cell turnover and brighten your skin.

Post-Mandeliclear Peel Care Routine

Days 1-3: Hydration and Protection

In the initial days following the peel, your skin may feel tight and dry. It's essential to keep your skin well-hydrated and moisturized at all times.

- Track Your Progress: Begin by taking photos of your face (front, left, right) under good lighting. This will help you monitor your progress.

- Cleanse: Use a gentle cleanser, like the Vital C Cleanser, twice daily.

- Treat: Apply a hydrating serum, such as the Hydrating Botanical Serum, followed by the Healing Serum.

- Moisturize: Use a rich moisturizer twice daily, like Aquaphor, or add a face oil on top of your moisturizer. The Phyto-Lipid Tamanu Oil is a great choice.

- Protect: Use an SPF, preferably the Prevention + Ultimate Moisturizer SPF 50. Remember to reapply every 2-3 hours if you are outside or near windows. This step is not required for nighttime.

Days 4-5: Healing and Exfoliation

By the 4th and 5th day, your skin should be healing with minor flaking. If you notice flaking, refrain from peeling skin or touching your face.

- Track Your Progress: Continue taking photos (front, left, right) under good lighting.

- Exfoliate: On the 5th and 7th nights, use a gentle enzyme exfoliant after cleansing, followed by Active Clearing Serum or Retinol.

- Moisturize: Continue to moisturize using a rich moisturizer or the Daily Lightweight Moisturizer and/or Phyto-Lipid Tamanu Oil.

Days 6-14: Continued Healing and Protection

During this period, your skin will continue to heal and rejuvenate. It's essential to maintain a gentle skincare routine to support this process.

- Track Your Progress: Keep taking photos (front, left, right) under good lighting to document your skin's healing and transformation.

- Cleanse: Continue using a gentle cleanser, like the Vital C Cleanser, twice daily.

- Treat: Apply a hydrating serum, such as the Hydrating Botanical Serum, followed by the Healing Serum.

- Moisturize: Keep your skin hydrated and nourished with a rich moisturizer, like Aquaphor, or add a face oil on top of your moisturizer. The Phyto-Lipid Tamanu Oil is an excellent choice.

- Protect: Sun protection is crucial during this healing phase. Use an SPF, preferably the Prevention + Ultimate Moisturizer SPF 50. Remember to reapply every 2-3 hours if you are outside or near windows. This step is not required for nighttime.

Remember, your skin's health and beauty are a journey, not a destination. The Mandeliclear Peel is a powerful tool in this journey, but it's just one part of a comprehensive skincare routine. Always consult with your skincare professional to ensure you're using the right products and treatments for your unique skin needs.
